A note from Shenenka Fernando, Co-Founder and Chief Influencer Marketing Officer
fluencr was designed with the intention of solving everyday problems faced by creators and businesses. These problems werenβt engineered. They were problems that we experienced firsthand through our years of industry experience as content creators and marketers at Sri Lankan corporates like Dialog, Cinnamon Hotels, and Daraz.
Back in 2017, our team, through individual merit, was catalyst for change in the Sri Lankan influencer marketing space. From creators getting paid late or having to make revisions for free, to businesses struggling to discover new faces or having to manually manage campaigns, we took the time to really identify and understand each of the problems faced by both creators and businesses.
In 2022, fluencr was brewing. We came together as a group of like-minded individuals in their mid-twenties, fully remote, spread out across Sri Lanka, Dubai, and Australia. We spent a year crafting and refining the product to meet the demanding needs of creators and businesses, while working full-time jobs. We embrace a lean operating philosophy, and we're fully bootstrapped - we put in our own savings into building fluencr.
Weβre proud to bring you a dedicated digital product thatβs tailored to the Sri Lankan market, free to use, and is also not overridden by crazy subscription fees. fluencr is just the beginning. Weβve got so many ideas cooking behind the scenes that we canβt wait to share with you. The goal is to eventually be Sri Lanka's alternative to Fiverr - facilitating collaboration beyond just businesses and influencers. Itβs the dawn of a new era in the Sri Lankan content and marketing landscape!
